I just saw this advert for paid work in London on the Shooting People mailing list, so thought I'd post it up here in case anyone was interested in applying -

Looking for a stop motion animator to help design and create an exciting show reel piece for one of the World's leading Digital Agencies.

This is a London based job and will involve anywhere between 1-3 weeks work at the start of April

The animator should have a great deal of experience with Stop Motion animation and preferably a back ground in fine art. The piece itself will involve creating a huge canvas out of other pictures, possibly with post-its. It is quite possible that the artists will end up being shown in the footage to, so someone elgant who isn't camera shy would be a huge bonus!

Payment will be negotiable upon experience but we would be looking to pay at least £200 a day.

If you feel your interested and fit for the role, drop me an e-mail at james@epochrepublic.com - with Stop Motion Animator in the subject line, a copy of your CV and a reel of your work

This one's unpaid and has been mentioned before but for those of you who missed it...

As part of the Brighton Fringe festival Kanoti are putting together an hour long screening of animation in Jubilee Square, between 9 and 10pm on Saturday the 9th of May.

The event is in association with Bamboozled? A new alcohol awareness campaign aimed at young people. Kanoti have been commissioned to make 8 short animations around the campaign’s core messages, which will be screened on the night.

We are offering you the opportunity to get your animation work in front of a real audience in the real world – this beats a YouTube page any day!

If you would like to show your work please download and fill in the application form at www.kanoti.com/bamboozled

There's an enticing cash prize and entries don't have to be in until September, so plenty of time. The main remit is that it has to be under 90 seconds long.

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for an animator to work on a short (10min)film, mixing live action and animation.

The title for this project is 'A Giraffe With A Walking Stick'.

The look I am wanting is unfinished line drawings mixed with stills and moving photography. The final scene is a dissolve into moving image.

The payment basis is lo/no deferred.

If you are interested please get in touch by either emailing me at stocktonbaxterfilms@hotmail.com or calling 07791957922.
