WOW - white night was a real blast. I just wanted to thank Sarah, Abbie, Kate and Giles for all their great work. (and partners and any one else who helped.) There was a great buzz and the projections really made that space work - i heard folk really into what they saw there. it was a Great array of work we showed. and the animation workshops in the pav gardens drew a really active crowd - i look forward to seeing the results. Thanks again to those who were hands-on all night.
Yep a great night and well done to all involved. I've no idea how many people watched the animations but there seemed to be a huge crowd around all through the night.
Was great to see, well done to those who put it all together, a real variety of styles and use of the building's architecture, I had my favourites. And what a crowd and atmosphere, this sort of thing should happen more often, even twice a year maybe.
And thanks to everyone who contributed to the event - whether it was their time helping to organise it, making one of the amazing animations that were projected or coming along on Saturday night to watch them. We had people from all over coming to see the animations...even from Madrid!
I thought the evening was great & the animations looked amazing.
We had a couple of little technical hiccups at the start - getting the lens sorted on the projector & getting our audio on the DVD to work with the PA guy in the little tent by the church - but we got there in the end & it looked fab! Thanks to Giles Thacker who sorted all of the projector stuff & put together all of the animations for the final projection. And to the Big Picture Production Services for hiring us a beast of a projector!
We'll be uploading videos of the evening & the final animation we made in the Pavilion Gardens for the light animation workshop onto the BANG Future Machine website.
Hi Everyone,
Thanks to all for a fantastic night. Lovely Animations and a great buzz. I've posted lots of pics of the Light Workshop (more of a free for all if truth be told but great fun) on the BANG! Future Machine website and a wee light train animation...
Ha! The workshop was hilarious. Had no idea that so many people would turn up. Definitely going to keep on going with the light animations- a real quick and fun way to animate.
A huge well done to everyone who made films to be projected. We've had so much positive feedback about how inventively the animations used the architecture.
Great to see that there was a huge crowd until the wee hours. Thanks to everyone who came down. Apart from the obligatory technical hitches at the start, it was a sublime evening.
Hope some people managed to fight their way into the life drawing workshop too!
I really enjoyed it, it was awesome. Great to see such a big crowd and a good atmosphere. All of the animations were brilliant, good job everyone. I wish there could be more screenings of BANG members work, it was so great to see.
Ditto what everyone else said - it was a great opportunity and everyone's hard work paid off as it looked great. I'm looking forward to the video of the films being shown!
Me too, I had a really good time. Thank you to everyone involved. I've just uploaded my first video to YouTube. It's of my animation 'Returning Home', and that of Andrew Seabrook. Is that is ok with you, Andrew, putting yours on YouTube? Let me know if it's not!
It is at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6P6_NbdiG20
I have some other clips too. I guess I should ask the permission of those who made the animations first? I've got a recording of your one, David of Sheepfilms and Gabrielle Lee. It's great to hear the audience cheer. Shall I put it on YouTube?
