If any of you are looking to get your first job in the animation industry the Sussex Internship Programme will be open for applications next week. There's 40 six week internships at 40 companies to start off with and I can confirm that there's going to be at least three animation type roles in there, all at Brighton based animation companies.
Full details will appear on the website next week but in the meantime you might want to register your interest to make sure you hear about the roles as soon as they go live.
Yes, I'm afraid so. The scheme is funded by HEFCE and they stipulated who is eligible so there's nothing we can do about that I'm afraid.
Sorry if you don't qualify but there will be parts of the programme like skills and jobs fairs that are open to everyone no matter when they graduated. Details of these events will be on the website soon.
You might also want to have a look at some of the companies on the scheme and contact them directly. You won't be able to take part in the scheme but they may have other roles available: http://www.brightoninternships.co.uk/Companies/
Good luck with the job hunting Alan and feel free to contact me at any time if there's anything else we can do to help.
Thanks again to everyone who applied. Sorry for those who aren't eligible for the scheme but I'll be posting details of any careers events/jobs fairs that we'll be running as part of the scheme and will be open to everyone.
