"Cartoonist Kate Evans (climate change, roads protest, breastfeeding, Palestine, miscarriage, surveillance etc) was in inspiring mode at the Women in Comics conference in Cambridge a couple of weeks ago, and gave a fab presentation of the way her life has informed her comics (despite the fact that she grew up in Surrey and didn't have a tragic childhood). Do try and catch her when she does it again – for free! – at the Jubilee Library in Brighton 6pm on Thursday 12th November. Hey, and you even get a free glass of wine! It's a no-brainer.
